Market & Competitor Analysis

Role

Executive Assistant

This task involved researching and comparing five top gummy candy brands—Haribo Goldbears, Sour Patch Kids, Trolli Gummy Worms, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, and Albanese Gummy Bears—based on their pricing across major grocery stores. By analyzing data from Walmart, Target, Meijer, Walgreens, and Kroger, I identified Meijer as the most competitive option for most candies, offering the best prices for Sour Patch Kids, Trolli Gummy Worms, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, and Albanese Gummy Bears. Walmart emerged as the lowest-priced option for Haribo Goldbears, while Walgreens consistently had the highest prices, making it less favorable for budget-conscious shoppers.

Despite challenges such as limited access to physical stores, I utilized online resources and contacted customer service representatives to gather accurate pricing information. To address incomplete or inconsistent online listings, I cross-referenced multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and reliability. This task highlights my ability to deliver actionable insights and valuable recommendations, even when operating in a virtual setting.

By adhering to best practices, I ensured the task was executed effectively. These included cross-verifying data from multiple sources, focusing on consumer value by highlighting cost-effective options, and using creative solutions to overcome remote limitations. I also presented findings clearly and concisely, enabling clients to make informed decisions. My proactive problem-solving skills ensured that any challenges encountered were addressed resourcefully and efficiently.
